My homeland is Guatemala. I follow in the traditions of Guatemalan artisans who work with color and their surroundings. Guatemala is a beautiful country and it is easy to be inspired by its tropical landscape, history, colorful surroundings, architecture and people.

 

Having left my homeland at the age of 14, my new home provided me with a new source of inspiration and allowed me to begin exploring media and composition.

 

Each series of paintings I work on gives me the opportunity to try a new technique or a new combination of materials. Being self-taught gives me the freedom to explore and evolve new ideas without constraints.
